Emergency Need at the Ecumenical Emergency Food Pantry

As a result of budgetary cuts, the Ecumenical Emergency Food Pantry of White Plains is finding it hard to obtain food to help feed our neighbors. If you have not previously made a contribution, please during these difficult times, consider donating non-perishable and/or non-expired food items to the pantry. If you have donated already it would be greatly appreciated, if possible, you could increase your already generous donation.
In addition the pantry is in need of help in delivering food bi-weekly to the "home-bound”.

Anointing & Blessing of the sick takes place on the 3rd Saturday
of each Month, directly following the 7:00 pm Mass at SJE
There will be Anointing of the Sick by the presiding priest. By the sacred Anointing of the Sick and the prayer of the priests the whole Church commends those who are ill to the suffering and glorified Lord, that He may raise them up and save them. And, indeed, He exhorts them to contribute to the good of the People of God by freely uniting themselves to the Passion and death of Christ.

The OCIA began October 5, 2025 for adults who need to complete their sacraments or who have the desire to become Catholic. The OCIA session will continue until Easter 2026. Mass intentions can be requested by phone Tuesday - Friday 9:30 am - 2:00 pm (for up to 3 masses). For more than 3 masses, we ask that you come in during office hours with a list. You may also mail or email a list to the rectory and we will call you with any changes.

Israel and Palestine: Urgent prayer for peace
Please pray with us for the bereaved, and for those whose lives have been lost.
Please pray with us that the killing will stop, that a ceasefire across the whole of the Gaza strip will be brokered, and that humanitarian aid will reach the hundreds of thousands of innocent women, children and men whose lives are in great danger.
Please pray with us for peace, reconciliation and justice for all in all of the land.
Catholic Social Widows and Widowers Group meets monthly, on the fourth Monday of the month, at Church of St Pius X, 91 Secor Rd in Scarsdale, NY to honor our deceased spouses with a Mass at 5:30pm in the small chapel of the main church, followed by a social meeting with refreshments.
We plan activities and have meals at local area restaurants. We welcome Widows and Widowers from all parishes.
